We build this to be read by anyone.
Downeast Host Journal targets WCAG 2.1 AA. Here is what we check, and how to report a barrier.
Downeast Host Journal should be usable by everyone, on any device, however you browse. We build to WCAG 2.1 AA and fix shortfalls as we find them.
Our checklist
- Clean structure. Semantic headings, landmarks and alt text so assistive tech can follow along.
- Scales cleanly. Text and layout hold up when you zoom in or enlarge the system font.
- Keyboard first. Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Calm motion. Nothing moves that you cannot stop; we respect reduced-motion settings.
